A beautiful spreading shrub with fiery red blossoms in late winter or early spring. Leaves are dark green, simple, ovate to oblong, 1 1/2" to 3 1/2 " long. Good for borders or as a background plant. Tolerant of extremes in temperture and soil conditions. One of the first shrubs to bloom early in the year.
