Native to the Rocky Mountains. A tough low maintenance, compact perennial shrub. Leaves are dark green, elliptic to linear-oblong, 2/5" to 1" long, usually 3 to 7 leaflets. Blooms are golden yellow late spring into autumn. Tolerant of poor soil, heat, and drought.
