Description

hrysothamnus nauseosus

Native to the high deserts and Rocky mountains into Canada. An erect, freely branching, deciduous shrub. Branches are grayish or whitened with persistant feltlike wool. Leaves are narrowly linear and gray green. In late summer or autumn, the leaves drop leaving clusters of rounded, fluffy, yellow flowers. Leaves and stems are aromatic. Very cold hardy and tolerant of poor soil.
