Native to Asia. An attractive, compact, rounded, deciduous shrub. Leaves are simple, opposite, ovate to lanceolate, gray-green, aromatic, 1 1/2" to 3" long, 1/2" wide. Bears dense stalked clusters of small, deep blue, nectar-rich flowers from spring through autumn. Performs better with supplemental water in the hottest heat of the summer. Cut back hard in winter to ensure a good base for springs new growth.
