Native to the Americas. This plant possesses a large flowering head, has a rough, hairy stem, broad, coarsely toothed, rough leaves and circular heads of flowers. Unless you are growing plants for the edibel seeds, remove spent flowers to prolong the bloom season. Available in several different varieties and comes in yellow, bronze, mahogany red or orange petals.
